will gladly, though, give you the wisdom to avoid the trap.
Haha, that is so very true. Usually the longest time it takes for people in movies to fall in love is around three days. Real solid foundation for a lasting relationship. ;)
ReplyDeleteAnd the second statement is also for sure. Sometimes we can see right away how certain things would harm us (such as alcohol or drugs). And sometimes it can be hard to see how something that may seem small (inappropriate music, the wrong kinds of friends) can lead down the same road. Sin always works in a chain-like fashion. Every bit of space we give it in our lives gives it a little more control over us. Hardens our hearts a little more to the things of God. Over time, we become used to it and are blind to just how far we have gone. After you've drifted into open water and the current is against you, that is when it's hard to make it back to where you once were. Thankfully, it is not impossible. But it's easier on everybody if we can recognize the traps before we fall into them. "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:"
